WOD:

“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”  Hebrews 4:16

As I reflected on this reading this week I was struck with the question, how do I approach God’s throne with confidence, given the fact that I am such a sinner and at times a hypocrite, no matter how hard I try.  I was really struck with the thought that we can approach His throne of grace with confidence because He is a forgiving God who sent His son to pay for our sins.  Yes, there are times of need when I need to approach that throne and feel overwhelmed with guilt, but these are exactly the times when His grace is poured out.

Announcements/Prayer Requests:

·         Hibriten Mountain run New Year’s day 6:30, meet at church at base of mountain.

Moleskin:

·          You know that time you fartsacked one morning; you were really tired and that alarm was just a little too early, and you just turned it off.  Then a week or two later it was so much easier to fartsack again, and so on.  YHC has kinda been like that with backblasts, cotters.  In an effort to improve upon this, here are a few highlights from the last few YHC Qs:

o   There was this time when we did donkey kicks on the wall at Viewmont.  Tooth Fairy fell off the wall.  After realizing he was ok, it was extremely funny.

o   Retread has been on a kick lately where if you repeat any exercise that’s been done in the last 6 months at a post, it isn’t “new and unique” enough for him.  During the last set of “The Beast” at one particular post when burpees were called, Retread’s mumble chatter was more than YHC could handle, so he was challenged to call his own exercise.  He called some double merkin Joe Frazer something or that other that really sucked.

o   Props to Beaker (and I know a few others, he just comes to mind).  Every time YHC has Whipping Stick Q, he is there.

o   Cuz left a post to take a dump (can’t remember which one, but I’m certain it happened).

o   Not sure where the whole Kapowski/Peaches feud thing started, but let me put it to rest.  I love the kid (I can fondly call him that because A)he is a millennial and B)I’m old).  Can’t wait to meet Peach Fuzz.

o   During one particular RAM post, Billy Jean adamantly stated he would never do a relay.  Guess who is running the P200 this year?

o   That same RAM, Phlegm was chased by a small poodle.  He claimed it was a Rottweiler.  He screamed like a girl.

o   Powder posted in 3 layers of clothes when it was 55 degrees.

o   Has anyone seen or heard from Freud?

o   Arrow is still > OG

o   I know there are so many more backblast worthy things that were left off, again, cotters.

·         Now, on to today’s RAM.

o   Phlegm was in rare form today.  I mean, give the Q a break.  I agree, the ankle high white socks were a bit powderesque, but it was 19 degrees.  The decision YHC had to make this morning was A)exposed skin or B)Ankle high white socks.  Yes, it was a wardrobe malfunction, but given the same choice again the decision will be the same.

o   Cuz rolled in a few minutes late even though he had committed to the prerun.  See above.

o   A little smack talk did not stop the post run crew.  There were 7; Beaker, Phlegm, Powder, Suppository, Jordache, Shaggy, and YHC.  Not sure who made the prerun, but I think it was a fairly sizable group.  Props to Suppository and Jordache who did both.

o   Enjoyed running back to the flag with Humpy.  Good conversation.

o   Always an honor to lead you men.
