5 years ago F3 got started up in Taylorsville. And every year we have ran in the Apple Festival 5k, but due to the rona the race was cancelled. But don’t think for one second we was going to let that stop us from running. No there wasn’t a big group of runners, no there wasn’t anyone standing on the side of the road cheering us on, and no there were no awards. But what was there was a group of men that wanted to run and run we did. No only did we run we also flipped some tires, bench press some heavy picnic tables, blockees, curls, jacob’s ladder, dips, bear crawl, and just because more blockees. So here’s how it all went down.
Line up ready, set, go. Run 5k nothing fancy there. Upon your return to the park we met up with some nasty 250 pound tractor tires literally and figuratively. Thanks Dude and Goodhands for getting all the nasty water out of the tires so the rest of the pax didn’t have to worry about it. Pays to run slow. Any ways.
Station 1: tire flip x 3 down and back so 6 total flips
Station 2: bench press picnic tables x 15
Station 3: blockees x 10
Station 4: curls x 30 cinder block
Station 5: Jacob’s ladder LBC & WW1 x 7
Station 6: dips x 30
Station 7: 20yd bear crawl
Station 8: blockees x 10
It was a great morning, temperature was perfect it was in the high 30’s low 40’s don’t know about anyone else, but that’s yhc’s kinda running temperature. We also had a OG pax come visit us this morning. It was great to see Veggie Tales back out there with us. So we had 7 pax post for what was probably one of the stupidest Q’s yhc has put together. With that being said props to all pax this morning because we all finished this beatdown between 40-55 minutes. The times are different depending on who you ask. But still yet very solid effort by all. And shout out to F3 in general. Because with out F3 in my life yhc wouldn’t have even got out of bed this morning to do what we did. And that goes the same for the other 6 guys that posted this morning. And 2 of the pax are 2.0’s some tough little dudes right there. Heard some good mumble chatter about why yhc didn’t warn pax to bring a change of clothes cause the grass was very wet and very cold good shock to the system. Hey in my defense you were told to bring a change of shoes. I think I heard “I hate you” at least 3 times. And a couple pax had to fight themselves hard to not give up the fine merlot. Well that’s all for now until next time love, peace, and chicken grease.
When the way is rough, your patience has a chance to grow. So let it grow, and don’t try to squirm out of your problems. For when your patience is finally in full bloom, then you will be ready for anything, strong in character, full and complete. James 1:3-4
