QIC:  Cousin Eddie

A lot of good things happened in 2019.  We turned 5.  We had a boatload of FNGs and a handful of Kotters (pax who returned after a long hiatus).  We ran all kinds of relays.  You rucked your butts off.  Convergences, Dad’s Camp, Tough/Heavy/Lights, 50Ks, Marathons….it just keeps on going and I’m proud of all your accomplishments.  Go ahead and take the next 45 seconds to congratulate yourself on a job well done.

Done yet?  Good, because it’s time to move on and keep pushing the rock.  Complacency is not what we will let happen with F3 Hickory.  Keep recruiting new guys.  And remember, once FNG’s get a nickname doesn’t mean that your job is over w/ them.  Think of how many of those guys we have in our region that post for a week or a month and then just disappear back into the Fartsack again.  That still routinely baffles me.  Say that reminds me, if you’re reading this and you are one of those guys that has disappeared back into your fartsack, COME BACK.  We’d love to see you again soon.

Sad Clown Syndrome is real yall.  Let’s keep bringing men into our circle and making them into leaders of this wonderful community that we live in.

Stolen quote about F3’s impact that’s worth a share:

Men of leadership don’t just happen.  They are the product of will through specific actions taken to cultivate character.  You will never grow if you don’t take decisive action to do so.

Step 1:  get out of bed and that bag of flesh into shape.

Step 2:  Lock shields with the men around who you are, themselves, acting upon their will to #getbetter

Step 3:  Be enough of a man that your character has impact on those who need you.

Stand up and lead.

Aye,

Cousin Eddie
