This Q was a little more philosophical in addition to the suck that is always present. More on that during the WOD. Here’s the suck portion, inspired by the movie Castaway….

Bear crawl block pull (60 yards uphill)
**At this point we were supposed to build our boat. That was to consist of P1 flipping a phone poles 3x out and back, and since we couldn’t leave Wilson behind, with each flip we were to pick up Wilson and bring him along. P2 was to use Wilson while doing overhead presses. Unfortunately, time was short so we had to audible this one out.**
Finally, it was time to get of the island.
Flutter kicks w/ Wilson x 10
Australian Snow Angels x 10
American Hammers while all 7 PAX sang “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” one at a time.

Over the past few years, the men of F3 Taylorsville have helped me deal with life, and encouraged me to be a better husband, father, man, and Christian. In thinking through this, I was reminded of the movie Cast Away. Often as men, we can fall into the trap of feeling like we are alone on an island and there is no help in sight. If we are to survive, we are going to survive by our own blood, sweat, and tears. F3 is here to change that perspective. We push each other to do more. One more merkin, one more mile, one more aggravating coworker, one more missed promotion, one more championship game for the 2.0, one more anniversary with the M, one more __________. We hold each other accountable to be faithful to our wives and fathers to our children. We strive to be honest in business, and faithful stewards of our finances. We lock shields, face the enemy, stand in the strength of our King, and come out victorious on the other side. F3 lives by the motto of leaving no man behind, and leaving no man where you find him. With each meeting in the gloom, each shared cup of coffee, each COT and prayer, F3 is making a difference. May our numbers grow, and may we continue to impact the men in our communities.
