QIC:  Sooner

YHC was planning the workout last night…who am I kidding, planning it this morning on the way to LRU.  There were two basic options, make the route new/interesting or make the workout miserable.  There are only so many directions you can run from LRU, and given the humidity this morning, YHC thought it would be easier to achieve option 2.

Warmup:

SSHx15 IC

ATTx15 IC

Humpies x ?? IC

The Thang:

Head towards the swimming pool at LRU and do Tricep Dips x 15 IC and 15 OYO incline merkins.  Continue to 5th ave, stopping before crossing 127 for 15 Monkey Humpers IC.

Mosey to the bottom of cemetery hill for the tough part.  15 minutes of running up and down cemetery hill and doing 5 burpees each time at the bottom.  At the top of the hill the first time, there was already complaining about modifying and cutting it short.  Since everyone was pretty much at the bottom of the hill we cut it short by a minute.

10 count to catch our breath, lunge walk (or regular walk) to speed limit sign on the road between the cemetery and the YMCA.  Continue to rock pile at YMCA and find a rock.

20 Bench Press IC

30 Curls OYO

20 Overhead Press OYO

30 Bench Press, 20 Curls, 20 Overhead Press OYO

10 count

Mosey back to LRU.

WOD 1 John 4:16

Whipping Stick tomorrow 6:15 and Kids workout at 8:00

Summary:

-It was very hot and humid, hopefully YHC achieved option 2.

-Powder sweats a lot. He wrung out his shirt and probably could have filled a 5 gallon bucket

-Humpy has nice taste in shirt and shoes

-TF will continue to get a hard time for finding a substitute Q at whipping stick to rest up for a golf tourney

-TF will continue to own it

-Scotch and YHC will continue to drive to RAM even though we live less than 3/4 miles away

-Jordache will continue to show up late, however YHC is surprised he was only 2 minutes late instead of 3 hrs and 2 minutes late.  We’ll let it slide this once since you’re still on west coast time.

-Hot Lips gets .5 credit for pre-running but missing the workout (valid excuse), but then again if you skip the workout it’s just a run, not a pre-run
