I gave the boys a little preview the night before of my plans.  At least 2 saw the plans, and bailed.

But I won’t call them out on their no show.  Our job is to make each other better, not publicly shame them on a blog.  I will publicly shame them in other ways.

We first tried to recruit an innocent bystander.  He had plans of a longer run, promised to make it out on a later date.

The Thang

We warmed up.  10 leg swing/reverse lunge per leg.  10 per side of wide lunge.  10 downward dog pushups.  10 plyo spider per leg.

We moseyed.  After finding a safe place on the side of the road, we did a 3 minute (or so) cycle of plyo merkins/seal jacks/jump squats.

After running to the bottom of Hickory High Hill, we started the merkin portion of the show.  15 OYO merkins, immediately followed by a low plank.  Immediately followed by negative merkins, 3 count down.  This set was followed by a sprint up the hill, jog back down.  We did this x 3.

We ran back to the flag.  I had grand visions of 200 meter sprints with a reverse indian run, but we didn’t make it in time.  Hopefully next time.

WOD

We should be mindful of what we see, hear and say.  Watch what we let our kids see and hear.
