SSH x15 IC
10 Burpees OYO
ISS x 15 IC
10 Burpees OYO
Humpys x 15 IC
10 Burpees OYO
Group Squat x 15. If you weren’t into the GS, your Plan B was burpees until we were done.
Group Merkin x2? Complete Poo Show. Flamer, these will never get old. I love them and the complete chaos that they bring. Thanks for humoring me.
Lt Dans: 2 Lunges, 1 Squat/4 Lunges, 2 Squats/6 Lunges, 3 Squats…..all the way to 20 Lunges/10 Squats
Mosey to block pile, partner for 1,2,3 Doras:
100 Blurpees
200 Goblet Squats
300 Curls
P1 does work/P2 runs to the end of the parking lot, does 5 squats and flippiddy flops w/ P1
Pax got to choose between A or B. A it was, so that was a Raffle Carry w/ lunge walk to the block pile
Circle up for the last minute: 15 burpees/20 WW2’s. most made it through the burpees.
Note:
- Group Squat participation was about 50% so that left roughly 5 dudes that chose to do burpees. In the time we did 15 squats, those 5 dudes did roughly a total of 5 burpees. (Weak)
- Lt Dans take up a lot of real estate.
- Option B? Pretty much the same as Option A
- According to my winkie, we were going to do a 1o minute round of Every Minute on the Minute of 10 merkins, 6 squat jumps, 4 burpees but we couldn’t fit it in. next time.
- We were also going to do the partner exercise (not sure if it has a name) where P1 is on his back w/ legs up. P2 pushes legs down and P1 keeps bringing them back up. I miss those.
- Also had some Iron Pax stuff planned, but my winkie was just big….
- Finally on the WOD: The Magic that you’re looking for is in the work you’re avoiding. This is what F3 is about folks. No one wants to get up at ridiculous times of the morning to sit around and chat like a knitting circle would. No sir, we get up to do work. To do hard things so that we get better. There are 3 great opportunities to do Hard Things that are looming on the horizon: Blue Ridge Relay, Table Rock Ultras, and Grow Ruck Metro. And be careful when you tell someone “No”. I remember vividly giving Abraham not just a No, but a Hell No when he first asked me to do BRR in 2016. I was convinced that only idiots did stuff like BRR. Until I stepped off the ledge and tried it. Was it hard? yes Did it suck? yes But did I love it? Absolutely yes. F3Foothills is standing at exactly zero BRR teams and that’s some weak ass sauce. Come on fellas, what are you waiting for? And Growruck? I’ve said it enough, but I’ll say it again: I hate rucking. There’s nothing endearing about it to me. Growruck is going to kick me square in the figs. And yet, I can’t wait for it. But there’s one thing that will make this experience better for me. And that’s if you join me. The more the merrier…or maybe the more the lighter that log that we have to carry will be. Either way, I’m more excited about GR24 than just about anything I’ve signed up for in a while. I’m also scared shitless by the thought of it, but isn’t that part of the fun? Our bodies won’t let us do Stupid for too long. Let’s do Stupid while we still can.
