So last night I was looking to bring something different to the pax of F3 Taylorsville. And not just something new, but that would push the whole pax out of our comfy zone. So while searching the Exicon a couple things just said “pick me pick me” and the fat comfy kid in me said there’s no way I’m Q’ ing that. So in true F3 action I said listen here boy you can’t get better if you don’t do hard things. It’s easy to stay in a comfortable spot and do the same things fully expecting a change and if I’m not mistaken that’s the definition of insanity. We are F3, we don’t do easy, we get our butts out of bed early in the mornings to do just that, to get better. To get better physically and mentally. Step up to the challenge men at every opportunity you never know how and who you may have an impact on that day. Ok now that the pep talk is over here’s how we got uncomfortable this morning.

Now the real fun starts. This is one of those things that takes me way out of my comfort zone. Most y’all know I hate burpees and they hate me. So there’s no way to get better at them then to do 55 of them. This is called 1st and 10. So you make off every 10 yards up to 100 yards just like a football field, and have 2 different exercises at the ready. Ours was LBC and Burpees. So you start at the 10 yd line you do 10 LBC and 1 Burpee then run to the 100 then back to the 20 for 9 LBC and 2 Burpees run to the 100 then back to the 30 and I think you see how this is going. But here is the count break down.

 

10yd x 10 LBC 1 Burpee

20yd x 9 LBC 2 Burpee

30yd x 8 LBC 3 Burpee

40yd x 7 LBC 4 Burpee

50yd x 6 LBC 5 Burpee

60yd x 5 LBC 6 Burpee

70yd x 4 LBC 7 Burpee

80yd x 3 LBC 8 Burpee

90yd x 2 LBC 9 Burpee

100yd x 1 LBC 10 Burpee

 

Like I said that’s 55 LBC and 55 Burpee one to the next. Mosey over to big picnic area.

Now to add insult to injury the next new thing was going to suck and not going to lie it about didn’t happen, but again you can get better if you don’t push. This is call Chumbaburpee. So what you do here is look up the song Tubthumper by Chumbawumba. We all know it as the song that goes “I get knocked down, but I get up again. Never going to keep down”. Yeah this sucks. So anyways every time they sing I get knocked down, but get back up again. Never going to keep me down you do a burpee. And during the rest of the song you do SSH. So I think the song has a grand total of 27 Burpees not sure how many SSH we did and we added in a couple different thing to break it up some. Except the Burpees we did all of those.

 

And for some reason while getting the music to play an ad kept popping up the was to I Will always Love you by Dolly Parton and the pax kept doing slow exercises to the music without my instruction. So they got what they asked for. An on the spot add to the beat down. Play that song and slow the exercise movement way down. Did 10 seal jacks, 20 Moroccan nightclubs, 10 squats, and just for good measure at the end of the song where Dolly gets her last big “I will always love you” none other then some good ol slowmo pickle pounders to finish it off. And it’s better to do if there are people that can see you.

Ok so if you can add and I guess we all can’t just ask Tapeworm. That’s a total of 82 burpees, which by the way is a lot for a 275-280 pound guy to do. Just giving Tapeworm a hard time, his engineering degree apparently has taught them how to use a calculator and not mental math. And he said wow that’s 72 burpees. And a couple guys were talking about that being some kinda record at Copperhead Creek and they only had to do 73 to beat it. And with out missing a beat and to not let that happen 3 more burpees OYO to make it 75.

With all that being said when I sat down to do this BB and did the math and it was actually 85 burpees in total.
