YHC has some giftcards to some restaurants leftover from last Christmas, so I figured I would pass them along to other PAX who might actually use them. We needed some sort of competition to decide the winners (but in reality, we didn’t need a competition because only 4 people showed up and I had enough for everyone). YHC recently saw a video of a some Buzzfeed employees (most failed miserably) trying the FBI physical fitness test and thought that the men of F3 could definitely do that.
The 4 activities were:
Most sit-ups in a minute (38 minimum)
Most pushups in a row without stopping (30 minimum)
300 meter sprint (52 seconds maximum)
1.5 mile run (8:16 pace maximum)
There are different points awarded for the number of reps (1-10 points), cumulative point total has to be at least 12, and you have to score at least 1 point in each category. Pullups are required for the Tactical Recruit Program (20 points), but we didn’t have a pullup bar at OG so we skipped this one.
Patty Mayo took home the crown (no surprise), followed by Phlegm (who wants a recount on the situps), Sooner, then Beaker.
Next time we’ll do it at a track, so Beaker and I don’t have an uphill grade for the sprint, and so we know the distances are accurate.
I read the requirements for ladies for the 300 m sprint. Phlegm/Patty, y’all didn’t get 10 points for that one.
Regardless Patty, you still met the requirements for the Tactical Recruit Program even without doing pullups (we all know you can do at least 2 pullups) and the correction for the sprint points. Phlegm and Patty still killed it even with their 2-3 mile prerun. If you’re looking for a career change, the FBI is an option.
It wasn’t the hardest workout but was fun to have a little competition, and everyone got a giftcard out of it. I pulled a Cousin Eddie/Short Sale though. I tried to bribe people to come to the workout, but couldn’t deliver on the promise (I forgot the gift cards at home). Cousin/Shorty y’all should have definitely jumped in the fountain on Monday even though we were just short on the number of people. Did you see how many people came out?!? There were 35 people there when getting 10 people is good for the ER.
WOD: I didn’t have much for WOD because I spent my time researching FBI fitness requirements. But basically, enjoy the holiday time with family and try to be stress free.
