Ok this is my first BB ever so be gentle with criticism while reading…… 6 PAX showed up for a VQ extravaganza at Whipping Stick this morning. It was fairly chilly in the 35 degree range after several days of springesque weather with snow looming in the forecast for springing forward tonight (ps. don’t forget to set ur clocks ahead an hour). On to the thang….
Warm Up-
Side Straddle Hops
Alternating Toe Touches
Foward Arm Circles
Anti-Foward Arm Circles
YHC then called out 60 burpees oyo, did one, saw beaker and tooth fairy do one while everyone else was standing in shock, heard tooth fairy say “I guess this is for real” as he did his first one. YHC then shouted J/K, lets go and we proceeded to mosey out of the parking lot. Side note here, Jordache rolled in right before we left parking lot which is apparently pretty common!
Moseyd out of parking lot, took a right, went down to bottom of hill did 10 merkins oyo and came back up to school and stopped at the baseball field. Proceeded to copy Cousin Eddies infamous baseball infield workout…. 20 15 10 5 at 1st 2nd 3rd and home plate. Went with 4 rounds in order of merkins, LBC’s, Burpees, and RBC’s.
Moseyd the long way back around the school to the parking lot where everyone picked a log/stump/heavy piece of wood from YHC’s truck. Went down to middle of football field and it went like this….
Exercise (with wood), run to top of hill, 10 merkins, back down hill and to your wood. Exercises were 20 of these…..Curls for the Gurls, Bench press, Squats, Overhead press, and Wood Burpees or Wurpies?? Lexicon…maybe?? Anyways after that round we 1/2d Β all the exercises and did them again. Finished off the workout with ab circle or circle jerk depending on who you ask(lots of morning wood jokes today obviously) doing flutter kicks, Kaitlyn Jenners, Box Cutters and one more round of flutter kicks.
WOD
We had a 6th grader pass away last week at the middle school where I teach and the emphasis on today’s WOD was just to take a step back and really try to appreciate all that we have in life with our wives and kids. Even though YHC’s kids especially like to go cray cray the closer it gets to bed time and parents are exhausted….I am so thankful for them and wouldn’t trade them for anything!!
Im not sure if this is long or not as far as BB’s go but it feels like I’ve been typing for a long time so if this is long and ur still reading them I guess u must be Cropduster!!
