I have some very exciting news for the men of NCFoothills and beyond!  Two new AOs have been formed and in just over a week the workouts will begin.  Have you ever been injured and needed a lower impact workout for a few weeks?  Have you ever invited an FNG and he says “I can’t run”?  Do you know a guy who is a bit out of shape so you’re hesitant to invite him to the ER?  These workouts are for you!  

  • Low Impact
  • No Running
  • No “50 Burpee” warmups 
  • Focus on Form
  • Full Body Workout
  • Tons ‘O Fun

WAM – Beginning on Monday, March 7  come to the Sails in downtown Hickory on Monday mornings at 5:30am sharp.  There Humpy will be the site Q and he will lead you in a Walk And Move workout.  He’s already got a party of 5 committed to this workout so come and join the fun.  We will take to the City Walk and the streets of the downtown area and walk.  Stops will be made along the way to “Move” – merkins, squats, big boy situps, etc.  The fun thing about this workout is the fellowship along the way.  At a slightly slower pace you can carry on a conversation and enjoy each other’s company.  Want to make it harder?  Wear your ruck and add 30 or 50 pounds.  Pre Run this workout if you’re so inclined.  Post Run it.  But come and enjoy the pace, the movement, and the FUN!

BAM – Beginning on Thursday March 10 at 7:30 pm come to our temporary location in the parking lot at Lakeview Baptist Church in NE Hickory.  The permanent location will be the NEW Bruce Meisner park at the corner of Hwy 127 and Cloninger Mill Road.  But the park is not open yet and there are no lights….so we will have to wait for that.  Some come to Lakeview on Thursday EVENINGS at 7:30pm.  There we will have a more traditional Boot Camp workout that will be low impact and no running – but still a good, tough, sweat inducing workout that will involve COUPONS here and there.  Again, if you want to amp it up a bit then wear your weight vest or ruck, run to it, then run back home.  Whatever works for you.  There will be a strong focus on FORM and TOTAL BODY workout.  Cropduster will be the site Q for BAM.  

Guys, Humpy and I can hardly contain our excitement!  And our excitement will be even more by you showing up and joining the Fun.  

So now F3Foothills has RAM, WAM, and BAM!  Who knows where all this will end up!  Let’s Do This!  Who’s In?
