Count-o, Name-o…. we had more than our normal 3-7 this morning, so that was nice. We also had two FNG’s. The first one is a co-worker of The Dude, so a shout out to him for a solid EH. He’s a dirt bike rider who does enduro races. He is now, henceforth, and forevermore known as Excitebike. The only problem, he’s too young to remember the game from whence his name comes. Secondly, my 2.3 got to come and see what it is all about this morning. He’s asked for a couple years now, and since he’s getting ready to turn the magical age of 6, I figured why not. I look forward to helping him understand the truth of being able to do more than you think, kicking your comfort zone in the teeth and forging a new path, and learning how to lead effectively. I’m also trying to figure how to explain to the M all the interesting things he’ll learn from the mumblechatter. It was great to workout with the men of Copperhead Creek, and I am thankful for how we all just keep going. We complain and threaten bodily harm if this crap is ever Q’d again, but we never quit. One more merkin, just one more burpee, just one foot in front of the other. F3 doesn’t quit. With the world in all the turmoil and uncertainty that we face today, it will be those who refuse the easy way out, those who refuse to quit, who will inspire others and make it further when everyone else has fell by the wayside. The battle is not easy. We need each other. As seen on Slack quite often here recently, if you’re struggling, reach out to someone. We are more than a group of muscle hamsters who run and pick things up and put things down. We are brothers. We are here to encourage, support, carry, and drag you if necessary. Whatever you do, do not quit.
