Came up with my route last night and posted it to Slack but that did not stop my half asleep self turning too early during the route. There was a lunar eclipse this morning, a few PAX said they saw it. Mumble chatter with my group of runners was top notch, we found out that we were all idiots when we were teenagers (some more than others).
Weather:
Cool but it is getting there, haha
The Thang:
Head out from Corinth and go around the church to the 4 way stop. Take a left and head towards the LHCC tennis courts. This is where YHC messed up from his original plan. We turned on 20th St when we were supposed to go down and turn up on 21st. The PAX tried to get me to keep going but in my head we were going the right way…. NOPE. Once we got up to 127 we turned left and headed to roster hill. Past Hampton Heights and turn right to go to Hickory High Hill. Cross 127 and head to 6th ST via 14th Ave. At this point we were not going to even get 5 miles so I called an audible to do Powder’s loop. Then head back to the flag.
WOD:
Heard an interview from a man who almost died. Said as he was sitting in the ICU he said to the nurse “You telling me I almost died, really scared me.” Her response was “instead of letting it scare you let that moment be sacred going forward.” The man said that going forward he saw his life in a totally different lens and really appreciated the each day.
