Browsing the F3 Twitterverse, YHC found a fun Motivator for this morning’s warm-up:

  1. Starting at 6, all PAX countdown to 1 together while doing a single SSH on each count.
  2. Back at 6 again, countdown but this time arms half-raised.
  3. 6 again, but arms remain stationary.
  4. 6 again, but this time legs just hop without going outward.
  5. Starting at 5, repeat all 4 cycles again!
  6. Now at 4… …and so on down to 1.

It really attacked the calves, so on to LAC’s and RAC’s and Humpies all in cadence, then on to the Thang:

YHC moseyed with the PAX around the church and through the graveyard, stopping at six locations along the way that became our workout stations:

  • 21 Jump Squats
  • 21 Wide-arm Merkins
  • 21 Sumo Squats
  • 21 Peter Parkers (just to be clear, it includes a Merkin)
  • 21 Lunges
  • 21 Hand Release Merkins

Then we stop by YHC’s truck to grab a log, one per PAX, to drag along between stations. Once everyone has a log, we repeat the loop, and descend by 3 each time a full loop is completed.

About halfway through the third loop, YHC determined that he dislikes his own workout and nearly splashed merlot, but kept going. Patti Mayo ran, log-in-tow, nearly the entire time and was the only PAX to complete all 7 loops before time. #respect

6:15 arrives, along with lightning, so we put up the logs and meet under the portico. Count-o-rama, name-o-rama, and YHC shares a WOD from 2 Cor 6:1-10, shining a light on what living in grace looks like.
