This is already the 4th Backblast of the day. Man, I can’t tell you how awesome I think that is. Keep it up, will ya? Speaking of which, I was scrolling through some last night and got inspired by what I read for this morning’s Expresso workout.
Weather: Cold. That wet, bone chilling cold too. Temps weren’t too bad, but it was enough to just make you wanna stay in the fartsack….which is what all of my other 5th Street brothers did by the way.
Thang: Warmups. Same ole, same ole.
Indian run through a giant pile of leaves. Didn’t quite go over, but that’s ok. I think most folks ran through it. Note: if you didn’t, I’m glad you didn’t mess up your Gucchi high heels. 2nd Note: it’s ok to get dirty people.
Mosey stopped at the Corinth parking circle. Call was Racoon Crawls around the landscape wall. RC’s are like bear crawls but you’re moving across something that’s raised off the ground…like that little wall. Anyway, I stole that from my Taylorsville brothers.
Line up shoulder to shoulder on the road. Lunge walk a fairly long distance down the street. That was stolen from Fuse. Original call was to lunge walk all the way down the hill, but we stopped at Corinth back parking lot. Changed the call up to Duck Walk for about 100 yards or so. Then back to Lunge Walk to the bottom of the hill. This was designed to reduce the amount of belly aching. Note that I said reduce, not eliminate.
Once at the bottom, 4 rounds of gassers. Gasser = 100 total reps of called exercise; broken down like this: Run between 2 points. 20 reps at each stop. So that means 20 reps x 5 stops = 1oo reps. Make sense? Good, get ‘er done.

That was stolen from one of Patty Mayo’s old backblasts. First time I did those, HBC called them during Gasser’s FNG post. That was a boatload of backblasts ago.
Anyhoo, that was it. Gassers take some time.

- first Q that I have after Covid isn’t a concern, here’s what we’re doing: Partner Squats. Group Squats. Tunnel of Love. Elephant Walk…..ok maybe not that, but we’re partnering up like a mofo whenever that is.
