QIC:  Fuse

There’s been a lot of focus in recent workouts with merkins, I get it, it’s convenient, everyone wants to hit that goal, including myself(YHC for the kool-aid drinkers).  Now that we’re all running around with jacked upper bodys and chicken legs I thought it would be a good idea to do a leg-intensive day to try and restore balance to all the human lollipops running around hickory trying not to topple over from our top-heavy physiques.

warmup:

30 SSH ic

After the warmup, we mosey to downtown

Workout includes 20 step ups, each leg, lunge walk the length of the sails, 10 burpees, lunge walk the length of the sails again.  Rinse and repeat.  We only had enough time for 2 rounds.

We run home the same way back, at each intersection, the front person waits for the 6 then we all do 15 squats together all the way back.

 

WOD: spoke about the importance of understanding science as well as religion/spirituality, and a MLK quote about the symbiotic nature of both

This wasn’t as difficult as my usual workout – variety is the spice of life, and honestly, I didn’t think anyone would show up in 35 degree rainy weather and I didnt feel like rolling around in puddles

I wish I could have exchanged some Sh*t talk with Pump during the lunge walks but he’s a lunge walk slug and he was too far behind me for me to be able to make out whatever verbal sewage was spilling from his mouth. : )  <– that’s a smiley face so that people know i’m joking and don’t take offense

I seriously can’t believe 8 people showed up.  I really appreciate it!

The weather ended up not being so bad after all, it never is.
