WOD:
I pre-ran to the ER, and I always like how quiet the streets are that early. I was kind of praying and thinking about the WOD and kept hearing “Accountability”. I searched my Bible app and found Job 31:14 – “what will I do when God confronts me? What will I answer when called to account?”
F3 has been a terrific source of accountability for me, physically of course, but also with relationships. I know there will be a group of guys out there working out 6 days a week, all I have to do is show up. I’m the only one I can blame if I don’t work out for a week.
But I also want to be held accountable as a father, a husband, and a believer. Though F3 isn’t a Christian organization, I know it’s made up of believers and we hold ourselves and each other to a higher standard. The world’s standard is shamefully low for men. Our standard is Jesus, and though we’ll never live as perfectly as He did we can work every day to improve and grow closer to God. I appreciate that the other men I work out with believe the same thing.
- G – out
P.S. – some thoughts…a la Cousin Eddie’s backblasts
1. How ’bout Swanson! Dude doesn’t post for 4 years, then starts showing up like clockwork 3-4 times/wk?
2. Planning an F3 Service Day this Saturday @ Resource Warehouse. They’re moving and need help setting up their new store. Check Slack #3rdF board, Twitter, FB, anywhere else F3Hickory does social media for info.
3. Had a good spurt of FNGs and guys coming back around this summer. Who else you got? EH a guy and lets get some new faces out there
