QIC:  Friar

Conditions:

Stormy. Hail, lightning, wind, and rain… oh, my! The conditions were a little hairy just prior to the start or Stargate. However, by the time came to circle up and start there were 4 faithful Stargaters ready to run 5+ in the rain.

COT

Proverbs 28:1, “The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.” YHC noted how many times people have jokingly quoted this passage when they find out that I am a runner. I think the verse is inspirational! The wicked run away or “flee”; so conversely, the righteous run toward. Toward what? Danger, needs, hurts, and trouble. YHC’s challenge for the PAX was simple: run toward the needs we find and use the righteousness God has put in us give us strength.

THE THANG:

YHC had a nice 2.5 laps route equaling around 5.65 miles. So, as usual, Spokes and Double Bogey take off and stay out of sight. YHC can’t prove it; but I’m pretty sure they just run down to McDonald’sĀ  once they are out of sight and eat breakfast. Baby Face runs almost as slow as this slightly pudgy preacher. He did stay ahead but cut off early (4.5ish) so YHC does have that going for him! YHC brings in the rear with 5.8 miles.

Route done. Only a little rain through the run. High fives given. The PAX took off to face the day.
