QIC:  Doughboy

A couple of days before my Q, Short Sale had mentioned that we hadn’t done some partner workouts in a while.  I told him not to worry that it was going to be my workout for my next Q.  The Mount has had an influx of PAX (added 5 to our numbers recently thanks to Daewoo) and these 5 had never done a BLIMPS workout.  That all changed on Thursday.  10 PAX showed up for a cool morning workout.

Warm up (all in cadence):

SSH x 15

ATT x 15

LAC/RAC x 10

Mountain Climbers x10

Humpy’s x 12

Workout:

After the warmup, we moseyed to our block pile, partnered up, and began our workout.

Burpees 50

Lunges 100

Imperial Storm Troopers 150

Merkins 200

Press (overhead with block) 250

Squats 300

There was a little mumble chatter from the new PAX and some from the old crew, especially when we did the 250 overhead presses.  All in all, I think that they really enjoyed it.  YHC had a surprise up his sleeve but we ran out of time so it will have to wait until the next time.

All in all, a great day to workout with the men at The Mount.

COT/WOD – WOD was from Deuteronomy 6:4-9.  In Jewish tradition, this is known as the Shemah.  The Shemah is how the Jewish would start and end their day as well as contemplate on it throughout the day.  It talks about how there is one God; Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, and strength.  Impress this upon your children and write this on your houses and gates.  What are we impressing on our children?

It’s great to see the numbers growing at The Mount.  A great group of men who are getting better!
