Yesterday I started looking at the weather after soccer practice and realized that this morning was going to be miserable. I thought about sleeping in, even though I had the Q, since I had posted the route on Twitter. What would it be called if the Q knowingly planned to fartsack? I decided that was not fair to the others or to me so I decided that I would go. I showed up and there was 1 other car in the parking lot so I assumed the attendance would be low. 7 of us ended up leaving after a quick explanation of the route because it was cold and we wanted to get moving. With the wind, it felt like the low teens so we did not want to hang around too long. Shortly after we left, Humpy and I were by ourselves watching the lights ahead of us get smaller and smaller. The pack of 5 stayed about 1/2 a mile ahead of us until we could not see them anymore. As Humpy and I ran and talked, I realized we missed the turn. I asked him if he wanted to turn around and we decided to just continue on our course. Unfortunately, the original route was 5.5 miles with the possibility of running 6 miles if you went to 6th street. Once Humpy and I finished, thanks to my bad navigation skills, we had ran almost 6.7 miles. Oddly enough, no one was in the parking lot once we arrived. Everyone else was cold and had (intelligently) left before the COT.
Pax – My apologies… the map in my head and the map I had laid out were not the same.
Humpy – Sorry for the extra 1+ miles that we ran this morning but you did a great job.
This is what I had planned to say this morning but since everyone was gone, I will just mention it from the warmth of my desk chair….

Micah 6:8 (NKJV)
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.
