5 men gathered under the Star in the (really) foggy gloom.
It order to get some additional hill training in and to help prepare for the Smokey Mountain Relay (SMR), YHC decided it would be a strictly running workout. Since Binary had already notified he wouldn’t be in attendance, it was cool to do what he calls TMDR (Too Much D___ Running).
We left Mt Pisgah, crossed over 127, and headed down towards the lake. Down by the lake we turned left for the LONG run up Skyline. It was worrible. It was stated that it may actually be worse than Eleanor (if you can believe that)!
At the top we took a right and ran back down to Skyline and then left back down towards the lake. At the end of Skyline we took a left and headed back to 127. There we regrouped, caught our breathe, took a 10-count, and charged across 127 and up Chigger Ridge (yet another crzay hill, remember our Memorial Day 5K???) From there we headed all the way back to Rink Dam, took a left, and mosied our way back to Mt. Pisgah.
We ended up with 3.6 miles and over 300 feet of elevation gain (so I’m told).
It was a great morning with a great run and some great fellowship.
