The pre-blast went out with the Who, What, When, Where, etc along with posting of the 3 mile Slow Jammers route and Standard 5 mile route. Had one official HC and also knew Rx & Bismarck would be there as well.
0515 so I led off with a COT – Psalm 19:14 “May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.” I had walked into our kitchen and my M was watching a video that she found in the archives of the internet (watch the first few minutes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3UNdbxk3xs) that she had watched during one of her early 90’s Psychology classes. A person was giving a lecture on how children with learning disabilities are made to feel in how teachers speak to them and why it drives them to not want to learn. It led us to talk about how we speak to our children which led me to think about this verse. I need to better practice the words that I speak to they are much more pleasing to God’s ears as well as my children. Its not that I’m mean spirited but the tone used can make a huge difference in the conversation.
Well, no slow jammers arrived so we struck off on the 5 mile route.
AO, turn right on Main St. and then left on Pennton Ave. Stay on Pennton Ave. across Harper Ave and then turn left on Westover St. and then right on Sharon Ave. We stayed on Sharon for a short bit and then turned right on Hospital Ave. and left on Woodsway St. Once we reached the back entrance to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church parking lot we followed their drive out to Hwy. 321. Turning left on to the man made grass walk that then turns into a sidewalk we continued following 321 North up to Bo’s where we turned left on Greenhaven Dr. We followed Greenhaven Dr. until it turned into Finley Ave and then turned left on Main St. With a short run on Main St. we turned right on Scroggs St. and left on Vance St. Once we got to Willow St. we followed it to Harper Ave. and made our way back to the AO. Bismarck had cut it short a bit with Rx and they did the lower end of Sharon Ave. and then the last bit of the climb at the top of Sharon Ave. and then onto Finley so Bismarck was waiting on Friar and me to finish. We said our pleasantries and wrapped this version of Stargate up.
Until next time…
Spokes Out
BTW, if you are still reading this “Lil Shakespeare Club” has kept over 6 weeks of Backblasts going and not missed reporting the happenings of a F3 Lenoir workout out to the masses. I’m proud of these HIM holding each other accountable.
