QIC:  Spokes
PAX:  Bismarck, Swinger, Grout, Deuce, Hanger, Spokes (QIC)
  Date:  12/18/21
  AO:  The Den

Quite a foggy morning on the ride in from Cajah’s Mountain; was even hard to see the lights on the tree in the Town Hall park.  Rolled into the AO with Deuce and Grout on my heels.  Hanger had been out doing his Soccer Referee fitness test (probably should include a trip to the eye doctor lol).  Bismarck and Swinger were already completely parked and stepping out…let’s get this thang going.

Warm Up

  • Windmills (10 IC)
  • Imperial Storm Troopers (15 IC)
  • LBAC’s (10 Forward IC, 10 Backward IC)
  • Humpies (25 IC)
  • Side Straddle Hops (30 IC)
  • Alternating Toe Touch (15 IC)
  • Mosey to Tennis Courts for some various % speed sprints
    • At 80% 1 court, then 2 courts, then 3 courts
    • At 80% 2 courts and move to 100% for 2 courts
    • At 80% 2 courts and move to 100% for 3 courts – here is where the wheels fell off or at least Grouts quad, sorry man!

Mosey to WLMS hill for lunge walk to a manhole flapjack to Bernie to the next manhole then rinse/repeat to the top of the hill

Mosey to Top of stadium

Wall sit at the top while PAX in front of you mosey’s down the stairs to the bottom.  Once a portion of the way down then next PAX starts the descent.  At the bottom perform a Merkin on each step back to the top.  Jog to the next set of stairs and descent to the bottom and rinse/repeat Merkin as you move across the stadium.  Think it was at least 35 stair Merkins across four flights of stairs…that’s at least 140 Merkins!  Wall sit for the six.

Mosey to breezeway at the school.  Wall Sit and complete Bus Drivers, Joe Frazier’s and Mohammad Ali’s (to the sound of the chirping birds)

Mosey to the AO and get in a plank for the final 3 minutes.  Standard Plank then move to Right Arm/Left Leg up then alternate to Left Arm/Right Leg.

WOD – Remember the traditions that we did as kids or now have with our families at Christmas time (except for Bismarck’s tradition as a kid of riding around in a back of a truck and throwing water balloons at homeless people – *readers note, he did make that up so no need to bash him on this one).    We went around telling a memory or current tradition.  They range from Christmas Eve family gatherings of sitting around in new PJ’s and watching movies, riding around looking at Christmas lights then listening to the John Denver Muppets Christmas album, being brought in to neighbors homes for a time of celebration together, modifications to the elf on the shelf with reminders of what good looks like (being kind, helping others, etc.) and creating the anticipation of what Santa brought while the kids await entry into the room with the Christmas tree.  These were all great traditions and it was fun to hear how we all make memories.

Prayers for those impacted by weather in the Midwest and KY.  Count off/Name-arama

Santa has Q next week at The Den!

Spokes Out!
