Seems like that second ever Q has a lot more stress attached to it than the first. Pax have to be nice on the first one, or at least that’s what they said. Second one better bring some pain. Again, that’s what they said. So with all that mumble chatter running through my head, it was time for a Station Identified Block Party. 5:15 – show up, place the flag, pull out the wienke and wipe off the sweat. OMG, the sweat, but it is 95% humidity. 5:25 – Prepre pax make their way back. 5:28 – Call out two minute warning. 5:30 -Welcome to F3 and then brain freeeze. What are those words? Delivery to the rescue, “Plant, grow, serve.” That’s it. Now we got it. 5:31 – Warm up starts with SSH, Michael Phelps, Copperhead Squats, Overhead Claps, and Imperial Storm Troopers. All in cadence. 15 each. Time to mosey with the block to the parking lot. The beatdown consists of run to the top of the hill, there do plank jacks and Star jumps. Run back to your block and do the STATION workout (all with your block): Skull Crushers, Twinkle Toes (Al Gore with calf raises), American Hammers, Tony Hawk Burpees, Iron Squats, Overhead Press, and Never Cross Dolly (dollys but only your six touches the ground). At the top of the Hill start with 1 and ascend until you get to 10. Back at your block, do eacheach exercise. Start with 10 and descend. After much mumble chatter and considering time constraints QIC lowers the number at the midway point. Mosey to the pad with your block, find a a position on the wall and wrap up with 15 dips in cadence. Gump begging for decline merkins is reminded he is QIC on Thursday.

Word of the day, “Show Up.” We show up for ourselves and each other. As was quoted on slack from MECA, sometimes we need the medicine, sometimes we are the medicine. We need each other. Not in some touchy feely always hugging kinda way. Sometimes we just need to call the brother who missed and ask where he is. Sometimes we need to ask the brother to help us fix our porch. Sometimes we need to go get the brother and ruck or run up a mountain. Being present with our brother is the best thing we can do. So “Show Up!”

Final words as we took the picture, “Feeny, that was a horrible workout!” MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!
