Yes, it’s Stargate and a running AO in the Running town of Lenoir. 3 PAX posted and we ran through the city together. We ran down through the Kentwood neighborhood then headed along Pennton Ave parallel to Highway 18/64 for several miles until we made the dreadful turn on to Sharon Ave. Yes, Sharon is known to provide some hill thrills and she didn’t disappoint. Fortunately at the top we turned on to Woodsway and then into St. Francis of Assisi church to make our way out to Highway 321N. From this point we started the long 200’+ elevation gain along the sidewalk up to Bo’s where we continued the long climb up to the pinnacle at the MLK Center. We continued through the Freedman community and turned onto Main St. to make our way back to the AO.
That’s 5.11 miles at a 8:40/mile pace with 386′ of elevation gain.
We missed Kickstand and Rx but know they will be back to join us soon. Hope to see the Slow Jammers back out at some point as well.
