Wednesday. The day of champions. The glorious portion of the week when those who will truly endure to the end congregate at that strange wheel in town. It’s running day. Always admire the #HIM of Stargate.
YHC rolls up first, followed by Bismarck, and at the last minute Spokes. Our other regular, Rx, took the week off to recover from some kind of relay that took place this weekend (anyone hear anything about it?) to play golf and drink fruity little drinks with umbrellas in them. Wait an extra minute to see if the “shorties” show up (Slow Jamz is way too cool of a name for these Wednesday fartsackers)…spoiler alert, they didn’t.
WOD: This day in history marks the Exxon-Valdese spill. The blame was placed on someone who was allowed to navigate a ship unauthorized/non-certified. The point for us is to be careful who we allow to navigate “the ship” that is our life. Be careful who guides you. On the other hand, are you someone living worthy of guiding others?
Then. We. Ran. Duh. We ran fast, we ran slow, we ran up, we ran down, we ran on flat, we ran on hills. We ran in town, we ran out of town, we ran all around.
Bismarck appreciated the pace. Spokes appreciated the scenery. YHC appreciated the company.
We finished with just over 5 miles in distance and 400 feet of elevation gain.
