How about a quick one since YHC is typing this BB on his phone…
*sidenote / Doc has chosen to self quarantine since he and his M are expecting their first 2.0 in the next couple of weeks. YHC drives past Doc’s hood on my way to the Mount and noticed a bouncing light coming from a runner’s headlamp. = Doc doesn’t miss workouts. Workouts miss Doc. 👊🏻
The PAX will miss you bud and are looking forward to meeting the new baby. #stayhard
warmup:
12 of all the usuals IC
*sidenote #2 / apparently the Mount is a cool place to be. Hickory’s finest were camped out with a few popo 👮♂️ cars and several officers in uniform hanging out in the parking lot.
(it looked like 🥷’s vs. 👮♂️‘s out there)
We all suspiciously traded glances during the SSH’s and windmills, wandering which one of us was apparently running a Walter White side hustle.. No sudden moves and without further involvement, no arrests were made.
After warming up, we moseyed past the Men in Blue to collect our blocks. (More suspicious 😒 looks)
Lined up abreast, we placed the block on a parking line. The exercise was to pick up the block, curl, squat to press, set it back down and hands off.
line 1 = 1x, line 2 =2x etc. all the way up to 12. (KIS/MIS) blocks up.
Next we moseyed (again past the Long Arm of the Law 😏) over to the elderly embassy to make a lap around the complex with 12 stops as we went. Stop 1 =1merkin, stop 2 =2merkins, etc. to a full lap and 12 stops.
Stopped at the small wall for dipsx12, inclinemerksx12, stepupsx12.
Next round was WWII sit-ups 1-12 around the loop.
well, if you’ve paid attention up to this point it would be obvious (Doughboy 🤓) that we’ve completed 78 merkins and 78 WWII’s.
Who likes round numbers??
Has Been, that’s who. +22 merkins +22 WWII’s. (*Swanson does not) (*but he did them anyway)
mosey back to flag. Do you guys smell bacon? 🤷♂️
5.0 was still present 😒

James 1:1
James was the 1/2 brother of Jesus, Mary’s son, the brother of God, A Leader of Christianity, a Disciple of the One True God…
if you read James 1:1 it goes like this;
(1) James, a servant (or slave, or bond-servant) of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.–Bound to Him, i.e., in devotion and love.
James who was basically Jesus’ brother, refers to himself as a “bond servant”.
think about that kind of humility.
(Read that again)
This is the type of leader we are called to be.
James learned how to be a leader by the GOAT of leadership. He knew that in order to lead he had to be a SERVANT.
what an awesome example
Thank you guys for meeting me in the gloom!
