QIC:  Spokes

…little did YHC know that he was on the calendar for Infinity Q until PBR, Master Q of this fine AO, noted that Spokes was on Q as part of the daily run down on Thursday.  See, the thing is, the Google calendar for F3 Lenoir is totally not synced with F3 Hickory nor in this case is it updated; as ”           ” was shown to be on Q.  So, I guess I was really a substi-Q for ”             “.

At any rate, 7 PAX posted for a 3+ miles of fun.  Since this was going to be a run and I wasn’t sure how it would end, I did the COT first #stargatestyle.  I shared how having a teenage driver now driving on a two-lane road winces when they pass a car.  “Is the road wide enough for two vehicles?”  Certainly, the DOT standards are in place; between the mustard and mayo (yellow and white lines) there is enough room for your vehicle and the other vehicle to pass safely.  So to often in life our focus isn’t in God’s word and so many times on the ‘passing car’.  Psalm 119:41-45 talks about how wide the walk with the Lord will be when we are grounded in His word.

Warm up:

Windmills – 10 IC, El Chapo – 10 IC, Wide Leg stretches

Begin the route by noting that was the only non-running exercise portion of the show.  We turned right out of the AO onto Powell Road.  We stuck to roughly a 9:10 pace all the way until turning right onto Jim Barger Drive (the dreaded Aquatic Center hill).  The pace remained roughly the same until we got the Aquatic Center.  Strap on the ankle brace, let’s hit the short 1 mile Zack’s Fork Trail loop.  PBR had been so gracious to lead at this point while YHC and the other PAX maneuvered the turns via our headlamps.  We looped back to the top of the trail and wished Swinger was their for his standard 10 count, however it lasted much shorter.  The PAX then made out way back to the AO the same way we came.  3.41 miles in the books!

Moleskin:

  • Great to see the PAX sticking together this AM
  • Friar, do you need AA or AAA batteries for your headlamp?
  • Cousin Eddie, are you still reading?  If so, DM me on Slack.
  • “CAR BACK!” Is that applicable when you are meeting a car?
  • PBR approved with him burning over 500 calories.  YHC burned 424

Spokes Out!
