It was a beautiful Saturday morning in early June. The sun was rising, the birds were chirping, Spokes (my 2.0) was sleeping in. You could say it was a fairly normal Saturday morning. I have been waiting awhile to Q a workout at the Den so came prepared. The PAX would not know what was about to hit them.
The Thang
- SSH
- Imperial Walkers
- Alternating Toe Touches
- Little Arm Circles (Forwards and Backwards)
We then took a Mosey to grab bricks and run back to the WLMS hill. Every time I have been the Q we have done some sort of lunge walk and I was not about to break that tradition. We lunged walked up the WLMS hill with the bricks held on our shoulders.
Once we reached the top of the hill, we proceeded to do 10 4 x 4’s. Start with arms raised in a standing position, burpee into plank followed by four Merkins followed by four mountain climbers with each leg. “One” is completed when returning to the standing position with arms raised. After the 4 x 4’s were completed, PAX were to pick back up their bricks and perform 20 Arm Raises and 20 Tricep Extensions.
We then took a Mosey to the track with our bricks. Everyone got a break from their bricks, but many of the PAX probably wanted to keep going with the bricks after the Q told them what the next exercise was. PAX were to run in a snake pattern up and down the stairs of the football stadium. On each corner of the stand we performed 15 LBC’s. We rinsed and repeated this exercise after the first run was completed.
We then returned our bricks and headed to the tennis courts for some time with Mary.
- Freddy Mercuries
- American Hammers
- Hundreds
- Flutter Kicks

Proverbs 3:5-6 : Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
We all face battles and challenges throughout the day. When we are going through a rough situation we put on a tunnel vision and we believe that the only one we should trust is our self. No matter the severity of the challenge we face, trusting in the Lord gives us a reassurance that everything will turn out how God wants it to be.
Moleskin:
- The Q was threatened many times by many different PAX, but that did not stop him from proceeding with the workout.
- If you ever want to hear a bunch of babies complain, give the Lenoir PAX bricks and tell them to run while holding them.
- Snips asked the Q to demo every exercise even after it was explained. (Congrats you made it on the BB Snips)
- I really enjoyed being the Q at the Den and hope they let me do it again after today’s workout.
Grateful that Jackson is back home and on a good track. Prayers continuing for him and everyone else.
Rooney out!
