It was a rather dark, damp morning when YHC rolled into Slingblade. I knew that it would probable be a low attendance day but I had faith; however, I rolled up to NO ONE parked and waiting. YHC’s watch clicked to 5:14 and out of no where two sets of headlights appeared, parked, and out popped Granite’s faithful Banjo and Castaway.
WOD came from Nehemiah 8 and finding the joy of the Lord as our strength despite our failures. We prayed and began.
North on Main, left on W. Highland, left on Valley, right on Grandview, left on Park, right on Elgin, right on Lakeside, left on Central, right on Main, left on Forest, left on Sterling, right on Chestnut, right on Falls, left on Archer, cross Dudley, continue on Hillside, left on Spring, right on Dudley, and right on Main back to flag.
YHC took one wrong turn, Castaway took two wrong turns, and Banjo got in some extra mileage with a few “extra turns”. We did all finish at the same spot!
