9 HIMS met to kick off Iron Sharpens Iron. The word focused on Psalm 1 and being intentional about daily getting into God’s word to keep us from falling into the traps of complacency, sad clown, following the wrong crowd, and instead being men that daily work to strengthen our relationship to God, our families, our work, and our community. Discussion focused on what is working for us now and what is not and what can we do starting today to be in God’s word. The goal of 3rd F is to be the dynamite that explodes so the message spreads through us to our families, our work, and our communities. Commitments were made to read the Bible daily, pray for each other daily, reach out to each other regularly, and hold each other accountable.
The next Iron Sharpens Iron is November 28th at 7:15. Between now and then read one chapter of the book of Proverbs each day. I will be posting reminders in the 3rd F channel. I encourage men to share in the 3rd F channel what they are learning as they read. It’s also a good place to share what we are struggling with as well!
