I rolled out of bed this morning (to the shock of most) and made it to Prison Break. Waiting there was PBR by himself. I’m sure he was thinking of doughnuts and being back in bed until he saw my headlights turn in. Soon after Twin and Swinger showed up and that was it. Audit was listed as Q, but he’s still on new dad duty and has not been able to post much lately. A group Q seemed a sure bet….until everyone reminded me of my missed Q from the previous week. So, it was declared that Babyface was running the show. With that, we got started.
Warmup – SSHs, Hairy Rockettes, Windmills, Humpies, Arm Circles, 10x IC Merkins
Now that everyone was nice and loose, we mosey. Stop at the old Post Office for some calf raises. From there, we mosey more so I can figure out what in the heck we were gonna do that morning. Remembering who I was subbing for, I got some ideas. Found an empty parking lot. Line up on the first line and bear crawl to next line and 1 burpee. Jog back to start. Bear crawl to 2nd line and 2 burpees, then jog back. 3rd line, 3 brupees and back. Repeat until all lines are hit.
Next we head up the hill a little ways and stop at the curb. Start on one side, crab walk across the road and then complete 5 one-leg dips. Crab walk back and 5 on the other leg. A few back and forths of this was enough to get the PAX complaining.
From here, up the hill to Davenport. This school sits up on a high hill, and can be accessed by two staircases and two roads. I figured we needed to visit all of those. Run up, 10 WWII situps at the top, run down and 10 RBCs. Repeat twice on both stair cases. Then head to the big hill at faculty entrance. Bernie up this hill, jog down. Rinse and Repeat. Last hill was the student entrance and everyone was so happy to make our way up this long, winding one. To catch our breathe, 10 IC X-factors at the top. Back to AO.
Once back, we needed a few more abs. Audit normally breaks out a brutal routine called the Bruce Lee. I honestly couldn’t remember all of the different exercises, so I went with two of the classics he has always put us through : American Hammers and 100s. With those two done, we called it a day.
COT: Isaiah 41:10 – So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Life is hard. You will go through hard things. It will not be easy. But God makes it possible. He will help you if you let Him.
Special prayers to Audit and his family, PBR’s son and Spokes and his M.
Moleskin:
- If you ever miss your Q, be prepared to lead the next workout you attend
- Prison Break is in a valley. Every direction is up a hill.
- We are all getting old and everything breaks down too easily
- PBR is jealous of his son’s running ability
- Twin is closing in on double digit straight days for workouts
Babyface out!
