QIC:  Cousin Eddie

First the Goods:

Warmups – SSH, then Beaker’s Double Tap ATT’s, followed by Flex’s Good Mornings, Cropduster’s Monkey Humpers, Swanson Squats, and Udder Butter’s make like you’re pulling yourself up with a rope but you actually aren’ts (update:  Rope Climbs).  Also Boat/Canoes.

Lap around parking lot for warm ups while carrying the Po Boy Sand Babies.  The PBSB are hastily constructed Sand Babies that are not to be confused with the Broken Pavement Sand Babies (BPSB).  PBSB are filled w/ rock dust and are very comfortable but they are shorter and more cumbersome to handle than the BPSB.  BPSB are longer, slightly heavier and are filled w/ semi to very sharp bits of asphalt and concrete.  Confused yet?  Sidenote:  if anyone has ample storage for either BPSB or PBSB, please let me know.

Circle back for 15 PBSB thrusters OYO.   Took a bit longer than expected as Swanson had a blow out in his PBSB and it needed repair.

Mosey to grassy hill leading towards whatever street OG is on.  Roughly 100 yards downhill.  Bear crawl w/ PBSB to the street.  WW2’s for the six.

Mosey to the bottom of shorter but much steeper hill for an OG Fav:  Crawl Bears up and back.  WW2’s for the six.

Mosey back to parking lot w/ PBSB.  Trade it in for kettle bell.

Curls for Gurls x 21 IC

Find a parking stripe.  Lunge walk from one end to the other; 10 Overhead presses, lunge walk back, 2 burpees x5 OYO

Circled back up for more random KB exercises.  Most were done in kneeling position to add a bit more difficulty.  Rows, Halos, KB swings (watch your nuts), single arm tricep extensions, overhead press, etc etc.

WOD:  Listen to other peoples needs, not what you want other people to hear.  This was a personal one for me.  Been trying to force the men of Exodus to start F3 on my terms, not theirs.  Stay tuned for a revision on that.

Back in the Day This Section Was Called a Naked Man Moleskin:

  • which makes no sense to me
  • and we could read everyone’s BackBlasts from all regions.  That was fun.  Some were good.  Some weren’t.  How’s that for insight?
  • The AO known as Organ Grinder really is Hickory’s most awesomest AO.  That’s no BS boys.  It has it all.  Me thinks that our next convergence needs to be here so you can see it for yourself.  Stay tuned.
  • I posted something on Slack that was a humble brag about our region’s attendance and the number of AO’s we have compared to other regions near us.  I really am proud of what we have done here.  Hickory isn’t that big, but we continue to Kick Ass and Take Names.  Growing AO’s and bringing in FNG’s on the regular.  That’s what this is all about:  Giving it Away.  Pushing that Rock.  Never Settle.
  • Kaizen, bitches.
  • Keep it up
  • Wanna know one of my guilty pleasures?  I take just a bit of delight in knowing that we are at least 1005% better than any other region in western NC at this F3 thing.  Don’t believe me?  Go post somewhere else and tell me I’m wrong.
  • Or maybe what I’m feeling just may be pride in you guys and what you do?
  • Either way, I may even need to include upstate SC in that ranking too.  East TN too.
    • Except for Lexington SC, I think they recently had a F3 Conscription that requires all able bodied men between 18 – 50 to post 6 days a week.  Impressive stuff down there.  Dudes routinely get 150+ pax posting daily down there.
    • Sidenote:  Lexington is also home to Powder, Sooner, and the World’s Sweetest Outdoor Gym: Flexington.  You’ll see it on Leg 3 of P200, along with 50 loudly barking chihuahua’s
  • It’s all true fellas, you are some bad assed men.  We may not receive accolades or draw attention on a national level like I think we deserve, but I’ll take you group of men over any other region.
    • Every damn time.
