QIC:  HBC

This old dog is always trying to learn new tricks. YHC believes that a man, regardless of his age, should be able to say that he learned something new each day. New tricks can be learned from a book for sure. But they can also be learned from doing new things like running a new relay leg or ultra or Q’ing at Howitzer snd shaking it up with a tour de ER. YHC wasn’t sure how that last one would go, but since we introduced our PAX to The Tower yesterday and had no ER this week, YHC thought he would give this one a shot.

Factoids about this morning as YHC remembers them:

1) Doodles got his first taste of The ER, F3 Hickory’s premier Monday morning AO.

2) Shamus tried repeatedly to lobby for CSAUP points for this mornings wo… “1 point for this workout HBC? 1/2 point or 1/4 point? How about 1/8 of a point?”. YHC responded with a quadruple thumbs down. But it continued…

3) Kapo continued to beat the CSAUP points drum by stating that “The committee” should give Jordache more than one measly point for doing an Ironman on the surface of the sun. Kapo should have been an attorney. His case was very convincing. But ultimately he too saw the giant red X appear.

4) Mumblechatter during one-legged-pickle-pokers is pure entertainment.

5) Retread was awarded two gold stars for his attention to detail and outstanding cadence counting during Mary. But both gold stars were revoked after he asked YHC how hold he was in 1871.

During COT YHC shared the story of Horatio Spafford, a successful businessman and lawyer, who lost almost everything he owned in the 1871 fire in Chicago. Two years later he lost his 4 daughters at sea and as he sailed over where they had perished penned the hymm “It is Well With My Soul”. We will all suffer loss in this life. Our response to loss and our trust in Christ is important. You can and should read the story that was shared here: https://www.pktfuel.com/it-is-well-with-my-soul-old/

Good stuff at Howitzer this am. Proud to lead you guys!
