1st Day of Spring: check
Frost on car: check
Powder in 17 layers: check, check
Funyon in tow w/ Pit Stop (aka his dog): check
Squints pulls up in car with headlamps blasting: check
Cheese Whiz shows up late: false. Dude was actually 1 minute early. A new record
Phlegm with tennis visor on backwards: not today brah. Dude was sporting some sweet lid that appeared to be a hybrid toboggan and tennis visor. Hey man, you do you.
Herniator pulls up and sweats my sweet sweet ride. hey boss, hands off ok?
Fuse decides that it’s a shorts day. Or he wants to show off his wound where he apparently shot himself in the thigh w/ a nail gun? Apparent true story: it went in deep enough so that he had to pry the head out before he could grab the nail with his pliers. Wound was also painful enough so that he had to run in the back w/ the injured Squints and the slow assed Cousin Eddie. FYI, he’s my favorite runner. Dude will hang back w/ me just for shits and giggles. But it does remind me of a cat playing with a mouse before he kills it. Or a killer whale tossing a seal in the air before he bites it in half. Point is, that dude could just take off and leave me in the dust but he doesn’t. Thanks brah. It does help the ole legs keep going a bit.
Jordache pulls up late, missed the COT, and almost missed the BB: check yes
Route:
Hills. Found them at Hutton Estate, back behind Glen Hilton park, up towards tennis courts, down towards the top of Eleanor, down Eleanor to the Cul du Sac, up Eleanor, up to 127 and back home. 550 ft of elevation. Get those legs ready for SMR. Total 6 miles.
WOD:
John 13: 14 – If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet
Moleskin stuff:
This was the longest I’ve run in 2 months. Felt good.
At the bottom of Eleanor, your boy was greeted by a stranger w/ “Sup Edward”. What the? Who dey? Trying to remember who left with us. Didn’t recognize the voice. Found out a bit later, it was my man HB to the C. Dude apparently left from his crib and wrongfully assumed that he was behind us on the route. Show up to the AO start, fella. No you can’t get a CSAUP point for your run.
Always a pleasure boys.
CE out.
