So I won’t go into a lot of detail but the situation was definitely title worthy.  Long story short, Shorty is training HARD for BRR and has been putting some extra miles in on the pre-runs.  I told him Monday night that I would start at 4:30 with him……big mistake!!  ANYWAYS….

The Thang,

Warm ups….blah blah.

Started with a 7 count of Asheville Abs.  Moseyed to the wall for some tricep dips and incline merkins.  Moseyed to the bottom of the hill by the Walgreens.  Was gonna do 11’s with Burpees and Seal Burpees but after the aforementioned pre run of death…decided to modify the workout.  Went with 5’s instead….5 Burpees at the bottom, 5 squats at the top, 5 merkins at the back of the lot, and flip the big tire once…back to the bottom of the hill and repeat dropping a rep each time.

We then did some 4 corner action around the Wal-Greens with flutter kicks, LBC’s, merkins, and squats, starting with 1 rep each working your way up and then flipping the tire each time you run past.  Moseyed to the wall for one last set of dips and merks and then back to the shovel flag.

COT/WOD.

Talked about seasons of life with school starting and how its different for all of us, especially this time of year.  Some of us dropped our kids off at college and some of us have kids starting pre-k.  My mom has always told me every time I start talking about the difficult times that come with being parents of young children (or children in general) that we all know what I’m talking about, not to wish your life away and enjoy the season of life that you’re in now.  Before you know it, the seasons will change.
