I got double booked this week as I had the Q for both Stargate and Slingblade. These 2 running workouts happen at the same time – one in Lenoir and the other in Granite Falls. I realize I am good, but not nearly that good!

Slingblade happened this way: a text from Castaway at 4:50am saying it was “pouring rain at his house and he wasn’t coming”. A text from Banjo saying it was lightening and hailing at his house and what should we do. I pulled the trusty truck over into a parking lot and took a quick look at my not so trusty weather app, then called Friar. It poured down rain for a bit in Lenoir and then moved on out quickly – you should be fine, he said.
We’re on!
The 3 of us had our COT, dodged a little lightening, got just a little wet, went down some steep hills, went us some equally steep hills, crossed over 321, crossed over Mill Pond, ran through Granada Farms, crossed over a dam (who else can say that in F3 today?), Banjo desecrated one of my trusty bandanas with his bathroom malfunction, ran fast, ran slow, stepped in puddles, jumped over some more and we all arrived back to our AO unharmed.
I call that suck cess!
That’s about all I’ve got. Gotta go write another backblast.
