22 days. The P200 is coming. YHC knows it and can feel it. Trying to strike a balance between boot camping and getting ready to run at the end of March, YHC settled on a run from the AO, down towards the lake, with a hill and pain stations along the route. Once the pre-run was complete there was no time for mumble chatter. 4 strong were waiting and ready to go.

Conditions: 48F workout perfection

Before praying us out, YHC reiterated what was said by Abraham on Saturday at the convergence. We need each other. God did not design us to be alone. Plain and simple, He designed us to be in community with others. How awesome it is that God loved us enough to do this for us. He gives me you all; you brothers out there that will push me to be better physically and spiritually, and hold me accountable. I’m thankful for this. He also gives us each other to lean on when times are tough. As Paul Trip said in his book Whiter Than Snow: Meditations on Sin and Mercy, “We weren’t created to be independent, autonomous, or self-sufficient. We were made to live in a humble, worshipful, and loving dependency upon God and in a loving and humble interdependency with others. Our lives were designed to be community projects. Yet, the foolishness of sin tells us that we have all that we need within ourselves. So we settle for relationships that never go beneath the casual. We defend ourselves when the people around us point out a weakness or a wrong. We hold our struggles within, not taking advantage of the resources God has given us.”

Definitely wise words to contemplate today and everyday.

As always, an honor to lead
Aye!
