PAngry Preacher

The time has finally arrived. February 24th at 5:45 am and PAX start arriving for the prerun. BandCamp leads a group of HIMs on a pleasant 5 mile journey on the beautiful streets of Granite Falls. Upon arrival back at the AO it’s obvious that more PAX are moving in. Then another group of runner are approaching , it’s the Angry Preacher himself. What an honor! With smiles, determination, and alot of talking the Region circles up with 60 strong united HIMs. Here’s how it went.

Back to the Flags

This was an exciting 2 hour journey. We covered around 5 miles with 3 of those in the woods. It was in honor of one of the Red Wood Originals, Abraham, AKA”Angry Preacher”.  But wait, let’s call up the Angry Preacher to  lead us in a cool down. I don’t know if you’ve ever done a Dive Bomber Merkin before, but there is nothing cool down about it.

8th and final station with Abraham at the starting point

COT  Convergence=Togetherness=Brotherhood

Looking around at this massive circle of HIMs you see great father figures, great influential friends, prayer warriors, etc. This is what keeps us strong as men. True brothers pray together, laugh together, cry together, carry each others burdens and stand strong together as one.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively. If one of them falls down, the other can help him up. But if someone is alone and falls, it’s just too bad, because there is no one to help him. If it is cold, two can sleep together and stay warm, but how can you keep warm by yourself. Two people can resist an attack that would defeat one person alone. A rope made of three coeds is hard to break.

Proverbs 27:17 As one piece of iron sharpens another, so friends keep each other sharp.
