7 PAX posted for a post-storm workout on Tuesday morning at The Mount.  Our block pile has been getting larger based on the increase in numbers and I knew that I would need enough blocks for each PAX to have two.  Our numbers were a little soft as a result of Monday’s storms.

The Thang

The warm-up consisted of the following in cadence:

Arm Circles – Forward and Reverse x12.  These were done in honor of Has Been and him missing the workout for the birth of his daughter

ATT – 10

Mountain Climbers – x10

Humpees – x12

Burpees (not done in cadence) x5

Next we moseyed to our short wall.  Now that we have 6 PAX from The Mount HC for the P200, we took the long route.  At the wall, we did Step Ups x10 and Dips X15 two times.

We left our short stop at the wall and proceeded to the block pile.  Each PAX grabbed 2 blocks and we proceeded to do 4 corners around Walgreens.  Here’s how this went down:

Fireman’s carry your 2 blocks to the first corner.

SSH x10 in cadence

Squat Thrusters x10 OYO

Block Shrugs x20 OYO

Block Curls x20 OYO

Block Skull Crushers x 10 OYO

Then we switched to Merkins.  We did 10 of each – Wide Arm Merkins, Regular Merkins, Diamond Merkins, and Hand Release Merkins.

Once that was done, Rinse and Repeat to the second corner, third corner, and fourth corner.   We were done after 4 rounds of this, put up the blocks, and moseyed back to the start.  We made a stop in the parking lot for a lunge walk/squat combination (lunge walk 3 spaces/5 squats) down the parking lot followed by Bear Crawl/Crab Walk/Bear Crawl combination back down the parking lot.  After that, we made the return to the start and did 3 quick Ab exercises (in cadence) – RBC’s x20, LBC’s x20, and Flutter Kicks x15.

Word of the day was a repeat for me from a couple of weeks ago.  How are you using your life and what impact will that have in the future after you are gone.  I used a quote from a friend of mine at church – “The greatest use of a life is to spend it on something that will outlast it.”

I always enjoy working out with the men at The Mount. It was a privilege to lead them this morning.
