So today we celebrated (if you want to call it that) the 3 year anniversary of the Original ER (which still has to be one of the toughest workouts around). We celebrated by paying tribute by having an old ER workout…and yes their were categories and prizes…sponsored by Infiltrator Water Technologies. I know several people that were too scared to post for an old ER workout. I won’t mention any of them but Suppository was one of them.
The Workout: ER AMRAP, run to the top of the Frye Hospital hill and do 20 merkins and 20 LBC’s, run up the stairs all the way to the top of the parking deck for 20 merkins, back down to the bottom for 20 LBC’s, back to the other end of the parking deck and up the stairs to the top for 20 merkins back down to the bottom for 20 LBC’s and back down to the bottom of 3rd St and that is 1 lap. Do as many laps as possible in 45 minutes and you take 1 rep off each lap. This workout really sucks! Hence the fact that our numbers were down this morning when guys knew we were going to do the old ER. I guess what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger.
I can’t remember the number of laps everyone did but here’s how the awards went:
First place overall-Fuse, Second Place overall-Billie Jean, Best merkins form-Igloo (not really but he beat me in number of laps), 150-185 lb weight class winner was Banjo (i’m not looking forward to racing him in the mud run), 200+lb weight class winner was Peaches, Publix won best smelling cologne award, Cousin Eddie won the best Cropduster award (literal for fart in the stairwell-he didn’t let one fly today but has in the past many a time), Beaker won the tallest bearded guy award. So it was just like today’s society everyone wins!!!
COT and WOD:
I shared about why Christianity in the US isn’t looked at favorable by a lot of people in society and its because too many of us are too quick to judge. We tend to lead with judgement and not grace. If we build relationships and lead with grace and love, Christians would be viewed very differently. I light of all the divisive stuff that is going on in America we should be the ones that lead with grace and love! 1 Corinthians 13 1, 2
