It had been way too long. Posting closer to home at the Star, a new baby, lots of travel, and surgery for a torn meniscus were all reasons (or excuses) for not posting at Expresso for what seems like forever. Well today we broke that trend. YHC was filling in for Peaches who was double booked. He led the men of Granite through football training this AM. The timing was great for the switch as YHC has plans to visit all of the Region AOs over the next few weeks before the 2.0s start back to school. Today it was Expresso in Hickory.
As men arrived and we started forming our COP, YHC instructed the men to partner up and to each tell their partner one interesting fact about themselves that not many people know. We then randomly shared those facts scattered throughout the workout. YHC believes it helped us get to know each other a little better this morning.
Here’s what we did:

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
Interesting Facts (as best as I can remember):
Ditch Chicken is from Florida where he has some sort of connection with TF (can’t remember the details).
Squints is expecting 2 more grandchildren in October and November. Congratulations, brother!
Goodwill, I think, or maybe it was Ricky Bobby(?) spent an entire semester traveling around the world on a boat. Favorite stop: Vietnam
Billy Jean: Major in motion picture something or another (I’m sure I butchered that one).
Phlegm is pursuing his MBA.
Funyon is our designated coffee guy and has agreed to set up a coffee station at Expresso each morning after our workouts.
Snare also traveled a great distance on a boat, actually a jet ski. He traveled over 50 miles from Florida to Bahamas.
There were others but I’m getting old and my memory ain’t that good anymore.
It was a fun morning. Thanks for posting and letting me have the opportunity to led you and to get to know you a little better. Until next time…
