12 strong men posted in the cool, damp gloom this am in the greater Granite Falls downtown area.  YHC loves to post in Granite Falls, the PAX are strong and never back down to a challenge.  YHC was personally thinking with the conditions we would have 5-6 max, no to my surprise they kept filing in and then we got to work…

The Thang:

Mosey Pax through the beautiful downtown square / oblique triangle and past the HARDBODIES workout group ( we all waved a friendly F3 wave to those folks paying good money to get yelled at) and continued to the PL at the end of Main St. for the following TOTAL ARM KILL

Mosey Pax to the alley towards Granite Drug PL

Lunge Walk Alley then mosey to front on the PL for the following TOTAL LEG KILL

Mosey Pax back to the Shovel Flag for the following AB KILL

Done, breathe and enjoy

What a great group of men, i really enjoyed my time in Granite at the Hurler.  Thanks for letting me Q.  Several new faces that i finally got to meet.  Kleenex, Paula Dean, Bogie, and the famous Tater Hole, nice meeting you guys.  Granite Guys are just downright tough, they all accepted the challenge and didnt back down…MumbleChatter was good, even though YHC lost his breath several times trying to count cadence or i am still in puberty.

Annoucements, name-a-rama, Count-a-rama

Several Spoken and unspoken prayer requests.

Why Having Spiritual Doubts Can Be a Good Thing

Doesnt sound quite right does it?  How can having doubts be a good thing..think about this for a minute.  we all have had or are going to have spiritual trials in our lives, during these times it is natural to question GOD, it makes us feel that we may be in seperation from Him, but in fact it may be strengthening our relationship.  Just like how we exercise our muscles, we tear them down and what happens???  The muscles build back even stronger, the  same is true spiritually.

In his article, Am I Losing My Faith or Just Losing My Mind? John Pavlovitz provides us with some encouraging words about doubt:

“. . . in those times when you are filled with doubt and guilt and worry, be okay with both the questions that come and the emotional upheaval they bring. You are being stretched beyond what you are currently capable of understanding, and these are the soul’s growing pains.”

“Sometimes we think of our faith as a castle—safe, comfortable, familiar. But what if God doesn’t want us to be comfortable and safe? What if comfortable and safe keep God at a distance?

“Doubt tears down the castle walls to force us on a journey. It may feel like God is far away or absent when in fact doubt is a gift of God to move us to spiritual maturity.”

“Doubt is not a sign of weakness but a sign of growth.”

“Doubting God is painful and frightening because we think we are leaving God behind, but we are only leaving behind the idea of God we like to surround ourselves with—the small God, the God we control, the God who agrees with us.”

YHC had the honor of leading these men in prayer.
