Jacob “Hightower” Hancher most of us in F3 don’t know this name, and sadly I didn’t either until I seen a post from F3Grandstrand that he was killed in the line of duty. By what I’ve read about Jacob he was a outstanding young man doing what he loved as officer for the Myrtle Beach area. He started F3 a few years ago to help get in shape so he would be ready for police academy. Like I said I personally didn’t know Hightower, but I have in the past worked out with the awesome men of Grandstrand so it does fell like I have lost a close friend. So this morning 3 pax posted at Copperhead Creek for a workout to honor our fallen F3 brother and police officer. So I had seen on some of F3 social media platforms that his badge number was 374 so we honored Jacob with a Hightower 374 spin off of a Dora 123. So here we go. And it was a little over 1400 reps combined.
Ssh x 10
Little arm circle x 10
Squat jump x 5
Hightower 374
SSH x 300
Over head claps x 350 and Moroccan night club x 350=700
Squat x 400
Mosey to picnic tables for a little ring of fire. To the song Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash,2:36 long song.
Decline merkins AMRAP
Dips AMRAP
Incline merkins AMARP
And done now it might not look like much, but trust me it got bad fast. Half way through the over head claps I called an audible and picked up with Moroccan night clubs and that didn’t help at all arms were done. I do have to say something about F3 and we pride ourselves on saying no man left behind and leave no man where you found him. And that definitely hits home with the passing of Hightower. Here’s a young man who knows what he wants to do with his life. And he joins this little workout group to help better himself physically and mentally. So he will be prepared for what is before him in police academy. And it worked because he had a mind set to push himself to be better, stronger, and faster. And I know the men of Grandstrand saw the progress in him, because F3 leaves no man where we found them. So this one is for you Jacob “Hightower” Hancher RIP my brother and continued prayers for his family, friends, MBPDSC, and to the rest of the MB area.
but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
